It's bigger, better, safer, nicer to drive and cheaper.
Apart from being bigger and better all round, the new 2 litre petrol option (the new starting point for the range) is priced almost four thousand LESS than the model it replaced. Despite these cuts the new RAV4 feels far more luxurious.
The cabin has a brighter roomier feel to it and the driving position is a lot less cramped. It's also quieter and easier to drive.
Despite being longer and wider than the old model it is also more manoeuvrable and actually has a smaller turning circle.
Whichever you opt for, both come with a five seater interior that is nothing if not flexible. The 60/40 split rear seats can both be reclined and moved forward or back to improve comfort. Then when they are not needed, they can be folded flat to almost double a load space already nearly 50 per cent bigger than previous. It's bigger, better, safer, nicer to drive and cheaper.
